Dr. Lee
otained his obtained Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with Micro ElectroMechanical System (MEMS) major from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His current major research includes CMOS MEMS sensors for Artificial Intelligence-based Internet of Nano-Things (AioNT)/AIoT and Industry 4.0, micro/nanofluidics for biomedical applications. He is the Project Leader for HKUST-MIT Smart Energy-Efficient Building (Smart EeB) project with CMOS MEMS sensors, smart actuators and Artificial Intelligence under the HKUST-MIT Research Alliance Consortium since 2017.  He is Associate Professor and the Associate Director of Nanosystem Fabrication Facility (NFF), Associate Director of Institute of Integrated Microsystems (I2MS), the steering committee of Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics and the committee of Institute of Nano Science and Technology, HKUST. He is also Faculty Affiliate in the Division of Biomedical Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong. In addition, he is a Visiting Associate in Caltech Micromachining Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, USA.  He was the co-founder of IEEE NEMS (Annual IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems), sponsored by the IEEE Nanotechnology Council in 2006.  He is currently the Mechanical Associate Editor of HKIE Transactions since 2014. He was the member of Editorial Board of Sensors  (Insciences Publisher, Switzerland) in 2011. Currently, he is Associate Editor of Microfluidics and Nanofluidics, Springer-Nature; the editorial board of Bio-Design and Manufacturing (BDM), Springer; Micronanoelectronic Technology, China (ISSN 1671-4776). He is also the President, Hong Kong Society The Hong Kong Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (HKSTAM) in 2014~2016. He co-chaired The 9-th Asia-Pacific Conference of Transducers and Micro-Nano Technology (APCOT 2018), Hong Kong, Jun 2018.
